Prairie Engineering is a mechanical and electrical engineering firm in central North Dakota. They provide engineering design services for commercial, educational, and institutional clients. They partnered with Bluestem Media to refresh their website brand image and create a new design to appeal to architects and engineers alike. A project-focused design was developed, designed to help keep previous portfolio clients as the core visual messaging.

Project-centered home page
Previous client projects were used as the core of visual messaging, especially on the front webpage navigation. We used project images as the "call to action", along with light white text on hover.
Project portfolio display
We created a way to display past projects from a portfolio in an organized, expandable and index-able fashion. Categories, tags and internal organizational structures were used park each portfolio item in the right place. Users can filter results by services provided and industry sector.
Planroom system
A password protected Planroom system was created for project bidding.
